Idents - Milton and Mordue's Animal Planet Idents with Harvey Glen

This morning I came across Milton and Mordue’s You Tube site, laden with gems, like the Animal Planet idents, shot last year. These fab, funky identities were done as part of the channel’s rebrand, and are currently airing internationally. Our own Harvey Glen gave it up as DoP on the shoot, getting the slo-mo action in, using the Phantom HD – The Phantom HD – not a camera to be sniffed at! No! No! But, then again, nor are the idents – and if you’ve ever met Molly Milton, co-founder of Milton and Modue, or experienced her work, you’d already know that her vision is just dream-supreme.

News - Day of the Triffids - BBC, Power and Prodigy Pictures

We’re real excited about BBC’s ‘Day of Triffids’, the show adapted from John Wyndham's genius novel, and last seen afresh in 1981. This time round the production comes courtesy of Power and Jay Firestone’s Prodigy Pictures (who, incidentally, is currently in development for William Gibson’s 'Neuromancer' – how cool is that?). Directed by Nick Copus, the new and improved version also boasts one of those stellar all star casts. Think; Dougray Scott, Brian Cox, Joely Richardson and Eddie Izzard, battling against those evil, venomous, nasty plants to save the world and all of mankind. Crew - New Camera Assistant for Babzoo

We’ve just taken on a new camera assistant – a camera assistant-extraordinaire no less! His name is David Warren and he’s worked in every genre, on programmes like 'Panorama', and dramas including BBC’s fabulous ‘Fear of Fanny’, not to mention RDF's funky favourite ‘Ladette to Lady'. This week he’s working on a commercial, shot on the Red One –yes, he's busy-busy-busy. But then again, like I said, the boy’s a camera assistant-extraordinaire and we’re all too excited at having him aboard here at Babzoo.
