News - Day of the Triffids - BBC, Power and Prodigy Pictures

We’re real excited about BBC’s ‘Day of Triffids’, the show adapted from John Wyndham's genius novel, and last seen afresh in 1981. This time round the production comes courtesy of Power and Jay Firestone’s Prodigy Pictures (who, incidentally, is currently in development for William Gibson’s 'Neuromancer' – how cool is that?). Directed by Nick Copus, the new and improved version also boasts one of those stellar all star casts. Think; Dougray Scott, Brian Cox, Joely Richardson and Eddie Izzard, battling against those evil, venomous, nasty plants to save the world and all of mankind.
